Solution 1

Automated plastering system

A robot sprays mortar up to 5.7 m, a DM machine levels it: fewer people, less climbing, clear data.

The DM-ACR-100 plastering robot maps the floor, moves on its own and sprays mortar onto walls up to 5.7 m high. The DM Leading PRO follows and levels the surface within 2 mm (manufacturer data).

Crew (manufacturer data)
3 people; the manufacturer reports output equal to 10 people
Output (manufacturer data)
about 800 m²/day (manufacturer data)

This is DERUTU's most automated solution. The manufacturer designed an information system for plastering that covers the whole chain: material preparation, mixing, conveying, spraying, vertical alignment, leveling, finishing, inspection and curing.

The DM-ACR-100 uses SLAM LiDAR positioning to map the site, plan its route, avoid obstacles and start with a single button. Pressure spraying bonds the mortar firmly to the wall, limiting delamination and internal voids. A DM machine then levels the surface automatically to a smooth finish.

Surplus mortar is collected and returned to the sprayer for reuse. According to the manufacturer, a crew of 3 can complete about 800 m² per day.

Advantages over manual work

  • Output per person more than doubles: a crew of 3 matches 10 people (manufacturer data)
  • Bond strength 2.5 times that of manual work (manufacturer data)
  • Pressure spraying limits voids and hollow spots; the manufacturer reports no rework
  • Less repeated work at height, improving safety
  • Standardized plastering process with traceable data
  • Plumb and flatness deviation within 2 mm (manufacturer data)
  • Mobile internet and IoT connectivity for job-site data

As published by the manufacturer DERUTU. Actual output depends on site layout, materials and crew skill.

Work process

  1. Inspect the substrate

  2. Prepare the substrate

  3. Dampen the wall

  4. Roughen and score

  5. Set thickness markers

  6. Robot scans the surface, plans its path and sprays

  7. Level and screed (machine plus hand)

  8. Cure

Best when

Best when

  • Factories, warehouses, malls, lobbies and corridors with walls over 4 m
  • High-volume projects that need speed and data-backed quality records
  • General contractors aiming to reduce work on scaffolding

Think twice when

  • Small projects with many narrow rooms, doors and corners: the robot gains little
  • Low monthly volume: payback will take long

The manufacturer estimates payback after about 40,000 m², based on labor rates in China. Use the payback calculator with your Vietnamese rates.

Frequently asked questions

The robot maps, moves and sprays on its own. The crew still prepares the substrate, feeds material, runs the leveling machine and finishes corners and edges. The manufacturer specifies a crew of 3 for this solution.

The DM-ACR-100 uses an AGV chassis that climbs slopes from −30° to +30°, crosses obstacles up to 10 cm and has a rolling steering compensation mechanism to protect delicate floors such as epoxy primer (manufacturer data). We survey the floor before recommending it.
